The McMahon Parater Foundation

Our website is under construction. . .please return soon

The mission of the McMahon Parater Foundation is to provide scholarships and financial assistance for students seeking Catholic education, to increase professional development opportunities for teachers and administrators and to strengthen Catholic schools and their programs.

The McMahon Parater Foundation was established in 2008 as a 501(c)(3) organization to sustain and enhance the future of Catholic schools in the Diocese of Richmond.  The Foundation began with an endowment provided by Bishop Francis X. DiLorenzo.

In the Foundation’s inaugural year, 2008-2009, nearly 650 students in parish, private, and regional schools in the Diocese of Richmond will receive over $200,000 in tuition assistance. These need-based scholarships were awarded utilizing income criteria established by FACTS, an independent tuition management company.

Applications for the 2009-2010 school year will be accepted no later than May 1, 2009.  Application may be made through the student’s school.

Your support of the McMahon Parater Foundation will help to ensure that increasing numbers of deserving students have access to Catholic faith, tradition, and academic excellence.  Once our website is expanded, you will be provided the convenience of donating on-line.  Contributions can also be mailed to:
